Jamie Jensen, Metalwork
Jamie began his journey in San Francisco, California as an apprentice woodworker fabricating boat interiors. As the years went by, he wanted more freedom of expression. He became interested in mixing metal with wood to create furniture art. With his wall art he sets a unique variety of elements into each piece, from river rock to patinated copper, gold, and silver leaf.
"I am intrigued by the arranged stone cairns found in Sedona, Arizona. I attempt to incorporate their vortex of energy and life force into each piece that I create.. In my wall art, I begin each piece with rust-patinated steel applied to a wooden frame. I incorporate river rock as a central theme, bringing both strength and softness to each piece."
